What the BLM is proposing

Oil & Gas

XTO Energy Incorporated has submitted twenty-two Applications for Permit to Drill (APDs) to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), North Dakota Field Office (NDFO). The wells would be drilled from two new well pads named Hull/Mason Federal and Hurt/Carus Federal. The Hull/Mason Federal pad is located on privately owned (fee) surface underlain by fee minerals. The Hurt/Carus Federal pad is located partially on fee surface and partially on federal surface. The fee portion of this pad is underlain by fee minerals. The federal surface portion of this pad is underlain by federal minerals. Both pads are located approximately twenty-six miles northwest of Killdeer, ND, will be constructed on native prairie and have facilities located on pad.
