What the BLM is proposing
Applicant: BLM
This environmental assessment has been prepared to disclose and analyze the environmental effects of acquiring lands in Fairfax County, Virginia for inclusion in the Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area (SRMA) managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Eastern States, Northeastern States District Office (NSDO). Under the Proposed Action, the BLM would acquire lands for inclusion in the Meadowood SRMA as willing sellers are identified and funding is available. Lands under consideration include parcels and groups of parcels adjacent to the current Meadowood SRMA boundary. Parcels are grouped into 9 different prospective areas. In total, the proposed action includes 64 parcels totaling 200.21 acres.
